A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion: There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin .... Allow me to restate that number: 600,000! Over the last several months, Wisconsin's hunters became the eighth largest army in the world. (That&rsquo...

This bear captured on trail camera at northern Wisconsin muzzleloader stand should perhaps consider the Den.  Two feet of snow and subzero temperatures in many areas north are the norm.

By Kelsey Jannke On 11/23/2014, the second day of the gun deer season I shot my first deer. I was on private hunting land near Pardeeville, WI. When I sat down in my tree stand it was still rather dark out. As I started to look around I soon realized there was a dark figure off in the distance that I hadn't seen there during past hunting trips . I...

Steve Suman The welcome, though too brief, break from winter this past weekend is now history as winter weather again makes its mark. Forecasts call for another four to six inches of snow accumulation through Monday night, accompanied by up to 30 mph wind gusts. Not great – but it is also not Buffalo! Deer hunters enjoyed mild temperatures ...

Hunters beware. Weather in the Lake Superior Country of Northern Bayfield County could have and likely will have a huge impact on deer and a hunters’ success.  The recent snow storm dumped many inches in the Northland.  Snow has settled some but Lake effect snow doesn't seem to want to let up in the higher elevation areas....
