As a professional journalist, who also happens to hunt and fish, Ellis wrote a syndicated outdoor column for twenty years that appeared in newspapers across Wisconsin. During that period, by actually reporting from the field, he forged great relationships with many of the state’s most talented hunting and fishing guides and professional outdoor journalists. These writers and guides, now affectionately known as the “Ellis Experts”, appear in every issue of OWO to bring timely information about what’s “hot”, where, and how to improve your chances for success in the field.
