DNR Retrospective Review of Rules
Draft Report Available for Public Review and Comment Until December 5
See dnr.wi.gov, search “rules review.”
In April 2012, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) launched a retrospective review of rules impacting small business. This review is prompted by Governor Walker’s “Executive Order #61 Relating to Job Creation and Small Business Expansion”, issued on February 22, 2012.
The purpose of the review is to recommend rule changes that will lessen the burden on Wisconsin small business without creating a negative impact on public health or the environment.
The Phase 1 report recommending repeal or modification of 13 rules was presented to the Natural Resources Board on June 27, 2012, and to the Small Business Regulatory Review Board on August 8, 2012.
The draft Phase 2 Report is now available for public review and comment. The draft report is posted on the project web page, see dnr.wi.gov, search “rules review.”
Comments will be accepted until 5 p.m., Dec.5, 2012. Please submit your comments electronically to DNRCleanAir@wisconsin.gov, or mail your comments to Eileen Pierce, DNR, 3911 Fish Hatchery Road, Fitchburg, WI 53711.
