Yellowstone public shooting range set to reopen July 12
FITCHBURG, Wis. – The Yellowstone Public Shooting Range will reopen on Saturday July 12. The range had been closed for maintenance.
“We’re happy to have this work completed,” said Bruce Folley, wildlife biologist and property manager for the range. “It has been a challenge getting the work done with all the rain we’ve had in June. We still have some clean-up, seeding and final grading to complete but we can wrap those jobs up as part of the range’s normal maintenance schedule.”
Shooters can stay up-to-date on the Yellowstone range and find other range information and shooting opportunities by searching for "shooting ranges" on the department's website at dnr.wi.gov .
