Washouts close two sections Tuscobia State Trail

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - Recent heavy rainfall has closed two sections of the Tuscobia State Trail in Price County.

Major washouts have closed the trail between East Buckhorn and West Buckhorn roads and between Market and Kaiser roads. Both closures, each about 1-mile long, are located in the far eastern portion of the 74-mile long Tuscobia Trail.

There are currently no detours in place so users of the trail should plan accordingly. The washouts will be repaired as soon as possible.

The remainder of the trail is open in Barron, Washburn, Sawyer, and far western Price counties. In addition, a late snowmelt coupled with recent heavy rains have created soft conditions in some locations along the trail postponing trail grading until after the Memorial Day weekend.
