Wardens, Foresters know where the fall colors are!

The Old Farmer's Almanac says autumn officially arrives September 22 at 4:44 p.m. No reason to wait until the weekend's nearly over to see some autumn color. The DNR conservation wardens and DNR foresters are spotting early fall colors NOW! We're also doing periodic tweets about where to find fall colors on DNR Twitter and running a DNR Facebook contest featuring your favorite Wisconsin fall photos. While you're outside in this terrific season, please note Wisconsin's forests are hard-working for you -- supporting forest-industry wages, leading the nation in forest products, providing wildlife habitat and helping urban residents. Enjoy the season and stay safe! Read more about where the colors are now.
