Warden Wire: After decades of honoring DNR wardens, Chris Noyes gets inaugural "Green Tie"

To a DNR warden, being named warden of the year and the recipient of The Watch is like winning their world series. The Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians don't have anything on this one! The Watch award is a very big deal with a very big history stretching 86 years and counting. It was the brainstorm of the late Haskell Noyes of Milwaukee. Haskell was a star American college basketball guard who left the offense for the defense of Wisconsin's natural resources - and that's how this story starts of why Milwaukee attorney Chris Noyes came to accept the first-ever statewide Green Tie Award. Spoiler alert -- the Brule River is the answer. READ MORE:
