WIAFF Update 1-22-14
WWIA Local chapters start up in MO/KAN and New Jersey! WWIA is lucky enough to have great support in two new areas across the country. In the western New Jersey area, we have a group of people that are working to raise money to fund the mission of WWIA. Through our affiliation with Hudson Farm, we now have a new Chapter working the local area. Out on the border between Kansas and Missouri, we have the MO-KAN Chapter, an extremely vibrant Chapter with President Brian Roderick and new Associate Joe Knorr. They work together with a huge group of American Sportsmen and business owners in the area to provide a World Class experience each November. They host so many Heroes that they must break them down into teams in order to keep the Hero numbers in small groups. This event is so big, that they start working on the next year even before the current year is complete! We also have two extremely active areas in Wisconsin and Ohio - these are typically run by our Associates and host as many events as possible each year. Between the two states, we have more than a dozen events scheduled for 2014, due to the hard working efforts of these Associates and the people who assist them in their fundraising and hosting duties.

Annual Muskie Fly Fishing Tournament
25 - 27 OCT 2013 The Muskie Fly Fishing World Championship was held in Hayward, Wisconsin and WWIA folks were hosted by Brad Bohen and Paul Strapon and stayed at the Treeland Resort. Sr Associate Mark Broda and Hero Tyson had an event not only filled with fishing, but lots of fun while being included in the Championship Events. After fishing on Day 1, they attended a Fish Fry, and a Charity Predator Fly Auction and Industry Night. They had more fishing on day 2 followed by an Awards Dinner and Annual Muskie Ball, had a huge breakfast on day 3 followed by a one day Muskie Challenge. If all that is not enough, they also got to go to WWIA's Camp Hackett for a night to reflect in the great wilderness of Northern WI before heading home.
