Look back four years Wisconsin, to compare and contrast Gannett’s corrupt coverage of the 2020 Republican and Democratic National Conventions to know what to expect July 15-18 when the nation’s eyes rest on Milwaukee, home of the 2024 RNC convention.  The DNC will showcase its conventi...

Update on Ashland County FI Report

December 27, 2018

Carolyn  from Anglers All reports:  Call us at Anglers All and we will give you an update on what we are hearing about the ice condition. There are a few Anglers walking out on the ice on the Ashland side of the Bay. However, we advise you to spud your way. Be smart, call ahead. Not all ice is safe at this time. Bring your ice bar and safety equipment including flotation equipment at all times. Hopefully, the weather will continue to make ice. There are people fishing the Inland Lakes in both Ashland and Bayfield County.  Check for safe ice at all times!!! Be cautious.

River Rock reports: There are some Anglers walking out on the Ashland side of the Bay with reports of 4 to 6 inches in spots. However, you need to check your own ice as you go. There is fresh snow now but prior to the fresh snow we had rain so be cautious. The Washburn side of the Bay has open water. The Inlands have fish able ice on some of the smaller lakes and there have been reports of nice Crappies being caught using waxies, golden shiners and fathead minnows. Continue to be smart and be safe!!! Happy New Year!
