Tune in for some helpful chats with department staff and make sure you’re ready for another exciting 9-day gun deer hunt!
The department has offered a number of informational chats open to the public, with DNR wildlife, law enforcement, regulations and communications specialists on hand to answer questions. So far, chats focusing on crossbow hunting, antlerless permits, e-registration, and general regulations have drawn more than 1,000 live participants, with nearly 200 questions answered.
Be sure to participate in the following chats leading up to this year’s 9-day gun deer opener; each chat will begin at noon:
- Nov. 18 – Deer Hunting Season Forecast
- Nov. 19 - Know where to hunt! (VPA, PAL Atlas, Hunting and Parks apps)
- Nov. 20 - Safety and Regulations
- Nov. 21 - Women in hunting, youth hunting, recipes, deer camp, and favorite memories
