Tickets available for 68th Alice in Dairyland Finale

MADISON – You don’t have to know a lot about Wisconsin agriculture to enjoy the Alice in Dairyland final interview events. Even if you do know a lot about Wisconsin ag, you’re likely to learn something when you attend.

Wisconsin’s 68th Alice in Dairyland will be selected May 9 in Manitowoc. Tickets are available for two events on May 8 and 9 during which the public may watch the candidates compete for the job.

●  A dinner and impromptu question and answer session at 6 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Fox Hills Resort, Mishicot. Tickets are $18.95. The candidates will answer impromptu questions and participate in an impromptu discussion about Wisconsin agriculture.

●  A banquet beginning with a 4:30 p.m. social hour will be on Saturday, May 9, at Holiday Inn, 4601 Calumet Ave., Manitowoc. The finale program will be at 7 p.m. at the Franciscan Center for Music Education, Silver Lake College, Manitowoc. The program includes two presentations by each finalist, as well as from a number of Wisconsin agricultural professionals.  Tickets are $20 for the banquet and program; $10 for the program only.

Each year, a different Wisconsin county hosts the Alice interview activities. Manitowoc County is this year’s host. This year’s finalists are Kristin Klossner of New Glarus, Teyanna Loether of Sauk City, Cassandra Mayer of Slinger, Stephanie Nagel of Valders and Dormie Roberts of Burlington.

Learn more and order tickets at aliceindairyland.com.

The candidates will participate in farm tours, agribusiness tours and media interviews around Manitowoc County May 7-9. Follow the events on Twitter and Facebook at #68Alice.

Alice in Dairyland is Wisconsin’s official agricultural ambassador. She travels the state to teach rural and urban audiences of all ages about Wisconsin’s $88 billion agriculture industry. She gives media interviews, speaks to groups at community events, visits schools and uses social media to help consumers understand the diversity and economic impact of Wisconsin agriculture and the nutritional benefits of its agricultural products.
