	The Nagy Memorial Ski Race held at Mt LaCrosse January 20-21, 2018 This year's race is a combined USSA Region 1 and 2 race with approximately 350 athletes, ranging in age from 8-22, participating. The athletes are primarily from Wisconsin and Minnesota, with some additional racers from other areas throughout the midwest. The Nagy Alpine Growth Scholarship, Inc (NAGS) was established in Dan Nagy's honor. Dan was a ski racer who lived life to the fullest. Dan died tragically in 2006, at the age of 30, leaving behind his wife and two small children. In memory of Dan, scholarships are given out each year to deserving ski racers to support them furthering their education after high school. The Nagy Alpine Growth Scholarship, Inc (NAGS) is a non-profit fund supported by tax-deductible contributions, which are used to support the race and fund the annual scholarships.
