Explore La Crosse is excited to announce that the Bluff to Bluff Trolley Experience is back for its second year in 2023. Tours will begin on September 9th & 16th and October 7th, 14th, 21st, & 28th, 2023. Each tour is four hours long and meets at the Explore La Crosse office at 123 S. 7th St, La Crosse, WI 54601 starting at 2:00pm.
And on September 9th only, we are calling all Elvis Tribute Artist Fans! The Bluff to Bluff Experience brings you the KING! Enjoy all of the captivating trolley experience alongside an Elvis Tribute Artist that will be performing in the 2023 Elvis Explosion at the La Crosse Center all weekend long! *This tour will conclude at the Castle La Crosse rather than Le Chateau.
From local wine and legendary history to breathtaking views atop ancient bluffs, experience the wonder of the La Crosse Region on this captivating trolley tour.
Each Trolley ticket will include an orchard tour in La Crescent, surprise treats along the routes, and hors d-oeuvres at Le Chateau. Some notable and iconic stops for this tour are at Grandad Bluff, the La Crescent History Center, Apple Blossom Overlook, Van Lin Orchards, and Le Chateau. Trolley will start to board at 1:45 pm.
Stop 1 - Grandad Bluff: Admire views of three states and he mighty Mississippi River from on top of the region’s famous Grandad Bluff Overlook.
stop 2 - La Crescent History Center: Visit the La Crescent History Center and Apple Museum to explore their historic collections and learn all about the Apple Capital’s unique past.
Stop 3 - Apple Blossom Overlook: Ride up Apple Blossom Scenic Drive off the Great River Road to the route’s captivating overlook featuring the Mississippi Valley below.
Stop 4 - Van Lin Orchards: La Crescent is famous for their apples and this orchard has provided a wide variety of apples and rural fun within the region for over 20 years.
Stop 5 - Le Chateau: Savor fine French cuisine in the restored Mons Anderson House. The award-winning home has a fascinating history with European charm.
*This experience includes walking, steps, and uneven terrain with multiple step-offs. Please call for accommodations. All participants must be over 21 years old.
