Sunset Luau at Kenosha Beach House on Simmons Island

Aloha! Enjoy an unforgettable Polynesian Luau at the beautiful Kenosha Beach House on Simmons Island. It’s an evening of island-inspired fun with delicious food, refreshing tropical drinks, and an exhilarating fire-dancing performance. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Hawaiian attire—leis, grass skirts, and Hawaiian shirts are welcome!

This event takes place on June 28 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Admission is free.

What to Expect:

A Taste of the Islands – Savor a menu filled with Polynesian-inspired flavors, including juicy Hawaiian pulled pork, huli huli chicken kababs, spam musubi, and fresh tropical fruit. Cool off with sweet treats and shaved ice.

Refreshing Drinks – Enjoy a variety of tropical beverages like pineapple juice and fresh coconut water.

Relaxing Vibes in our beachside beer garden

Experience a breathtaking traditional Polynesian performance featuring:

Tahiti’s welcoming dance – Auntie Melanie and Chief Mana will open the luau with Pate Pate

Hawaiian hula dances – including Lei Ho Oheno, Rock a By Hula, and Kaimana Hila

Fijian Meke warrior dances – Chief Mana will perform two powerful warrior dances as a welcoming to the village of Fiji

New Zealand Māori haka – Watch the famous haka, including the traditional war cry of the Māori people

Grand fire dance finale – Chief Mana will perform the Siva Afi, the legendary fire knife dance of Samoa

Crowd participation – Guests are encouraged to join in the dances and immerse themselves in the Polynesian experience.

Hands-on cultural activities & island shop:

Hawaiian and island music – Enjoy authentic island-style music before the show   

Lei greeting – All guests will receive a special lei as a warm welcome                                      

Hula dance class (Sunset) – Aunty Melanie will teach hula movements and share the meaning behind the dance

Face tattoos ("Tatau") – Chief Mana will offer traditional Polynesian face tattoos                              

Fireknife spinning lessons – Try your hand at spinning a padded fireknife "baton"

Artisan shop – Browse original artwork, fire knives, and handmade necklaces crafted by Chief Mana

Games – Fun island-themed games for kids and adults
