Sturgeon spawning update - May 7, 2014
Dear Winnebago System Sturgeon Enthusiasts:
Sturgeon began their spawning push below the Shawano Dam on Wednesday and should continue to heavily spawn into Thursday. Our crew was able to collect eggs for multiple lake sturgeon restoration programs dispersed throughout the countryon Wednesday, while also tagging roughly 350 fish. I recommend making plans to come to the Shawano Dam on Thursday or early Friday if you want to see this magnificent fish spawn at this site.
