Stories on the marsh: A fall-themed evening of entertainment and crafts

HORICON, Wis.  – Families are invited to join a Department of Natural Resources educator for an evening of storytelling and craft making on October 21 from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center for fall-themed evening of entertainment and crafts.

The theme for the evening will be about color change.

“The gorgeous color changing trees of the marsh are perfect subjects for storytelling and ‘leaf craft’,” said Liz Herzmann, wildlife educator. “We will begin with a reading of the story, Fletch and the Falling Leaves. After story time, the crafts for the evening will be leaf prints and leaf creatures.

“There are a lot of changes happening at the Horicon Marsh when fall arrives. From the leaves changing color to the animals getting ready for winter, this is a great time to explore the marsh and great way to spend a fall evening with your family.”

No registration is required and the program is free to the public. All ages are welcome. For more information please visit www.horiconmarsh.org or call 920-387-7893.

The visitor center is located at N7725 state Highway 28, about halfway between Horicon and Mayville.
