SPRING MARKS THE START OF TWO CITIZEN-BASED BAT PROJECTS

Wisconsin’s bats are slowly returning to the landscape for the season after this winter’s hibernation, which means that we can soon start acoustic and roost monitoring! Dust off the bat detectors and clicker counters, and get ready for summer bat monitoring.

Last year’s efforts in acoustic monitoring can be found in the 2015 acoustic report and the driving transect report. Results from 2015 summer roost monitoring effort can be found in the roost monitoring report.
