1. Quilt Show & Exhibition
May 5, 2018 - May 6, 2018 @ Phillips High School
There will be many quilts on display, a vendor mall, demonstrations throughout the day, and raffle baskets. There will be a raffle of a quilt made by club members (" Spools") with the drawing to be held Sunday at 3pm. The show is open to all quilters. No fee to enter; the deadline is April 15, 2018. The show is not being judged. This event is sponsored by The Helping Hands Quilt Club. Admission is $3; free to children 12 & under.
Kentucky Derby Party
May 5, 2018, 4:00 PM @ Birch Island Resort, Bar & Grill in Phillips on Wilson Lake
Get into the Derby Day spirit and join in the celebration of “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports”. Ladies dress up in derby-style spectator attire complete with big, fancy hats and everyone cheers for their favorite horse, plus enjoy the derby tradition of bourbon balls and mint julep (a centuries-old cocktail consisting primarily of bourbon and fresh mint served in silver cups), and a lunch and dinner special.
2. POPS Garage Sale
May 10, 2018, 7:00 AM - May 12, 2018, 5:00 PM in Prentice at the Lions Pavilion
Large selection and variety of items. The shelves are restocked daily with new items. Proceeds from this sale benefit the Prentice High School National Honor Society.
