Price County Fishing Report
Despite having to fish between some nasty weather fishing was pretty good over the weekend, I had the pleasure to take a couple of families out last weekend with younger children and had a blast. We were targeting Walleye and Crappie. Because the children were younger we went tried to simplify the fishing by using slip bobbers and live bait. We were targeting the Crappie shallow and the Walleye in a little deeper water and using small fatheads for bait. At the end of both days the families took home a couple meals of fish each.
Ross's Sport Shop customers are reporting Walleye action to be good with mostly smaller fish being caught. Look for the Walleye to be around the first major break in the lake or about 10 to 15 feet of water. Reports of Crappie being scattered between shallow and deep water are coming in with most anglers targeting the shallow water bite with plastics or minnows under bobbers. Bluegill are also being targeted in the shallow wood and new weed growth.
