One Hunting Dog Depredated and One Injured in Douglas County
On August 19, 2018, USDA- Wildlife Services confirmed that one hunting dog was killed and a second hunting dog was injured by wolves during the same incident in the Dairyland Township, Douglas County.
More information and a caution-area map are available on the gray wolf webpage.
Hunters are reminded to use the caution-area maps on the DNR website (dnr.wi.gov, keyword "wolf depredation") to help reduce conflicts.
