'Learn 2 Fish with Us' July 24 at Peninsula State Park
FISH CREEK, Wis. - People interested in learning how to fish can attend a free "Learn 2 Fish with Us" event on Sunday, July 24 at Peninsula State Park.

Learn 2 Fish with Us is a not-for-profit company founded by Greg Karch, a certified angler education instructor and professional fisherman. Learn 2 Fish with Us has hosted more than 150 fishing clinics educating more than 20,000 anglers in Wisconsin since 2006.
Karch and volunteers will present a "Fishing Basics" seminar that reviews safety, spin cast and spinning fishing combos, casting, fishing presentations, fish identification, parts of a fish, bait and aquatic invasive species.
The seminar will begin with registration from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m., followed by a Fishing Basics seminar from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. and "casting with a pro" from 11:45 to noon. Each youth will receive a fishing prize, which could be a fishing combo, shirts, hats, tackle box, tackle and more. There will also be fish knot tying and other crafts.
Participants should meet at the Nicolet Beach. While the event is free, a daily or annualstate park admission sticker is required for entry into the park.
In 2013, Karch received an award from the National Professional Anglers Association for Outstanding Service and Dedication for helping to growing the sport of Fishing.
