Join DNR staff at Horicon and become a wild game chef!

HORICON, Wis. - Whether you have a freezer full of wild game after a
successful hunt, or would simply like to learn more about cooking wild game,
head to the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center for a cooking-themed
wild game program Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Join John Motoviloff, author of "Wild Rice Goose and Other Dishes of the
Upper Midwest," and learn more about how to cook all sorts of wild game.
After an hour-long presentation, participants will have an opportunity to
taste some delicious meals and ask the author questions.

Motoviloff works as an editor for the Wisconsin Department of Natural
Resources, and in his spare time he is an outdoor writer, chef and avid
sportsman. He has appeared on Dan Small's Deer Hunt Wisconsin and holds
cooking seminars at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sporting Goods Show,
Janesville Public Library, Whole Foods, and Wine and Dine Wisconsin. This
program is free and open to the public, and no advance registration is
required.

"It's great to interact with hunters and non-hunters alike - the food brings
everyone together and hopefully everyone leaves having learned something
useful in the kitchen," said Motoviloff.
