Horicon Marsh State Wildlife Area Updates
Signs of spring are in the air and some of the early migrants have returned to the Horicon Marsh State Wildlife Area. Canada geese, sandhill cranes, killdeer and red-winged blackbirds are moving their way back into the state. This is a great time to make sure your nesting boxes are cleaned out and ready for the 2018 nesting season. Join us on Saturday March 3 for a Nestbox Seminar to learn more about how you can help cavity nesting species.
Information about the Nest Box Seminar and other events at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center can be found here. Be sure to save time to visit the new Explorium as well. The visitor center is located at N7725 Hwy. 28 in Horicon. Visit www.horiconmarsh.org for information about all of the upcoming events.
