Horicon Marsh State Wildilfe Area Updates and Events
With the milder temperature it feels like spring is in the air at Horicon Marsh! Geese and cranes are starting mating rituals, the ice is breaking up and the sound of life is upon the marsh. Make sure to visit here to learn about all of the upcoming events this March. A Next Box Seminar will help you understand how to place and monitor nest boxes in your backyard. A Searching for Spring Open House on March 18th is great for the kids and families to learn about spring activities such as turkey hunting, keeping wildlife wild, duck ID and native prairie gardening.
Don't forget to visit the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center's new Explorium for an interactive experience of Horicon Marsh. For more details please contact Liz Herzmann at 920-387-7893 or elizabeth.herzmann@wisconsin.gov.
