HORICON, Wis. - Winter may be on its way, but the excitement stays hot at
Horicon Marsh all year round. Visit the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor

join Department of Natural Resources staff and local organizations for some
upcoming activities and events. Each November event is free of charge
(unless otherwise noted) and does not require advance registration.
* Nov. 5, 6:30-7:30 p.m. - Horicon Marsh Update
Join Chris Cole, DNR wildlife technician, as he describes some of the new
and exciting projects happening at Horicon Marsh. Cole will talk about some
of the everyday management that occurs on the marsh, including prescribed
burns, trapping, water level management and cattail control.
* Nov. 7, 6:30-8 p.m. - Movies at the Marsh
The Movies at the Marsh series continues with "The Missing Lynx" - all
movies are family-friendly (rated G or PG), free of charge, and open to the
public. Refreshments will be available. Please use the lower entrance.
* Nov. 12, 10-11 a.m. - Stories at the Marsh
Join a DNR educator for a morning of storytelling and craft making at the
Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center. "Fun in the outdoors" will be
theme of this month's activities - head to the marsh to hear exciting
stories and make a craft to take home. Please use the lower entrance.
The Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center is located between Horicon,
