Head to Horicon Marsh in June for family-friendly summer activities
HORICON, Wis. - Families and outdoor enthusiasts in search of fun summer
activities are encouraged to head to Horicon Marsh in June for a number of
events.
And, don't forget to check out the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor
Center's new Explorium while visiting the marsh
Thursday, June 8, 10-11 a.m. - Stories at the Marsh
Join a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources educator for a "Planting
for Wildlife" themed storytelling and craft-making session at the Horicon
Marsh Education and Visitor Center. This event is best for children aged 10
and younger.
Wednesday, June 14, 10-11 a.m. - Junior Wildlife Biologist
Do you have what it takes to be a wildlife biologist? Learn how biologists
capture, band and release geese! No real geese are banded in this youth
program.
Thursday, June 15, 6:30-8 p.m. - Family Adventure Club: Dip Netting
This monthly event is a great excuse to get out and enjoy time outdoors with
your family. Come on out, grab a net and explore the waters of the marsh!
We'll search for dragonfly larvae, giant water bugs, water scorpion and
predacious diving beetles! No registration required.
The Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center is located between Horicon
