La Crosse County Convention and Visitors Bureau

Taking place Wednesday December 5th, 2018 Explore La Crosse will hold multiple informational meetings regarding its 2019 Festival & Event Marketing Campaign at the La Crosse County Convention and Visitors Bureau Offices in Riverside Park.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about grant opportunities, strategies and plans for promoting County wide festivals and events in the coming year and its successes from past campaigns. Since its inception in 2016, Explore La Crosses has generated ten of thousands of emails, pageviews, and notoriety about area festivals.

In 2018 Explore La Crosse invested $80,000 into local events and festivals to help organizers promote their events to potential visitors in order to grow overnight stays. Explore La Crosse Event Marketing Grants work with new and expanding events, festivals and sports tournaments as well as recurring established events. Learn about the application process and the information the Grant Committee is looking for when evaluating grant requests.

These celebrations are a vital component of the area’s tourism, recreation, and hospitality industries. Festivals give residents and visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy the area’s renowned natural beauty alongside its wide variety of celebrated business and services.

The meeting is open to all organizers, committee members, and coordinators involved in planning festivals in La Crosse County and its surrounding communities.
