Deer Fest Recap

On Wisconsin Outdoors

On Wisconsin Outdoor writers John Luthens and Ron Stresing enjoy the camaraderie at Deer Fest’s 10thanniversary.

The 10th anniversary of Deer Fest is in the books, and it was a rousing success for everyone who came out to the Washington County Fair Grounds to talk deer, sample hunting products from around the country, and visit with many of the deer hunting celebrities who stalk the outdoor-channel shows.

On Wisconsin Outdoors

Special thanks to awesome folks who stopped by the On Wisconsin Outdoors booth to share their adventures while picking up a copy of the latest paper issue. According to outdoor writer Ron Stresing, who sat in the On Wisconsin Outdoor paper blind all day Saturday and Sunday, nearly 800 papers were scooped up by Deer Fest patrons.

On Wisconsin Outdoors

Our readers are the reason that events like Deer Fest are so much fun to be a part of. Without your smiles and stories, On Wisconsin Outdoors would likely be as dull as Ron Stresing’s fillet knife after he just got done cleaning another limit of bluegills on the last copy of the paper that was left. True story. Just ask him.

On Wisconsin Outdoors

Thanks again for making Deer Fest one of the premier hunting showcases in the Midwest. The deer show may be over, but the real hunt is looming just around the bend.
