DNR modifies warden hiring in current hiring process, apply by June 29
Candidates no longer must wait to know where they'll be basedWith the hiring of the next class of conservation wardens underway as of today, the Wis. Department of Natural Resources has modified the hiring process to allow job-seekers to apply for specific warden stations instead of waiting for assignment at the end of their training. Assistant Training Director Jeff King says the change is the result of ongoing evaluation and continuous improvement in the process. "We heard from some who believed this law enforcement job was for them, but the thought of not knowing where a family may have to be moved stopped some in their tracks," King said.
