Celebrate Arbor Day, Pre-Order Tree Seedlings at Trees for Tomorrow

EAGLE RIVER, WI – Celebrate Arbor Day by pre-ordering your tree seedlings from Trees for Tomorrow (TFT). This year, TFT has four different types of tree seedlings for public purchase, including red (Norway) pine, white pine, white spruce hybrid, and northern white cedar. The cost is $1.50 per seedling. Proceeds support educational programs.

By placing your order in advance, we can ensure that your order will be reserved and ready for pick-up when they arrive in early to mid-May. Seedlings will be available until inventory runs out, which is typically at the end of summer or early fall. All seedlings are containerized and have established root systems. Orders can be shipped for an additional fee.

“Many families plant tree seedlings together as a way to show multiple generations how to take care of the land in a sustainable way,” said Juli Welnetz, coordinator of the sale for Trees For Tomorrow.

Arbor Day was established in 1872 to encourage individuals and groups to plant trees. Since 1945, Trees for Tomorrow has offered tree seedlings for public purchase. The purpose was to encourage land owners to plant trees and practice sound forest management principles. This tradition continues today.

For more information or to place an order, call (715) 479-6456, ext. 226, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, or go to TreesForTomorrow.com. Click on “Seedlings” for online ordering or for a downloadable ordering form. You will be contacted once the tree seedlings are available for pick up.

Trees For Tomorrow is an accredited nonprofit natural resources specialty school that serves school groups throughout Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois.  TFT’s mission is to promote sustainable management of our natural resources through transformative educational experiences.
