Rib Mountain State Park has two separate areas open to hunting and trapping. The entire area on the north side of the park that is leased to Granite Peak Ski Area is closed to hunting and trapping in the fall. The area of the park located within the Town of Rib Mountain area that has an ordinance regulating firearm use is limited to archery only, except for the 19 days open to muzzleloader season. The most western section of the park is outside the restricted areas and is open to muzzleloader and archery only during the regular nine-day and 10-day muzzleloader seasons. Hunters may use legal firearms in this area to hunt small game and during the four-day antlerless deer hunt Dec. 11-14.
