Bobcat, fisher and otter permit drawing complete

Drawing results can be found through the new Go Wild licensing system atGoWild.wi.gov<mailto:gowild@wi.gov>. This site allows hunters and trappers to access permit and preference point information and view submitted applications and current licenses. Customers can also purchase licenses, apply for permits, register recreation vehicles and boats, and register for safety education courses using the new system.

Successful applicants can expect to receive their permits via mail by mid-September - permits for individual species are sent separately. Applicants who were unsuccessful in the drawing will not receive a notice in the mail.

Each year, the Department of Natural Resources generates a Fall Furbearer Quota summary for bobcat, fisher and otter - this summary explains permit distribution and methods used to generate quotas. The number of permits issued, the number of applicants, and the minimum number of preference points to draw a tag can be found for each species. In addition to the summary, general drawing results<http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/trap/draw.html> are also available to the public.

For more information regarding quota summary and drawing results, visit dnr.wi.gov<http://dnr.wi.gov/>  and search keyword “trap<http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/Trap/>.”
