Bird Conservation Conference - March 19-21, 2015 -- Chippewa Falls, WI

The Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative (WBCI), for which WDNR serves as a major partner, is a statewide coalition of federal, state, and non-government organizations working together on all aspects of bird conservation. This message is to announce WBCI's 2015 Annual Meeting to be held March 19-21, 2015, in Chippewa Falls.

The conference is open to the public and will focus on the importance of private lands -- of all types and sizes -- to conserving bird populations in Wisconsin and beyond. Presentations, discussions, and field trips will focus on wetlands, grasslands, and forests and appeal to everyone from backyard birders to landscape-level conservation planners and property managers.

More information can be found at http://www.wisconsinbirds.org/annualmeeting-2015.htm, and stay tuned to the WBCI website for future details on the agenda and registration.
