Be A Maple Education Volunteer
We are thinking spring at the MacKenzie Center, which means it is almost maple sugaring time! We need volunteers to help us teach students from around Wisconsin about the process and history of making maple syrup in Wisconsin.
You can help teach school groups, collect sap, cook the syrup, or help in other ways. No previous experience is necessary; training occurs on February 23 and 25. Maple sugaring field trips occur throughout March.
Volunteers can sign up for just a few days, for a specific role, or for the entire month of the education program. If you would like to volunteer, contact the MacKenzie Center Education team at DNRMacKenzieCenter@wisconsin.gov or 608-635-8112 by February 15.
Learn more about the program in our recent news release.
