Attn: ATV and Snowmobile Instructors
Dear Wisconsin DNR Safety Instructor:
This notice is to advise you that the optional field exercises have been permanently removed from the Department’s ATV and Snowmobile safety programs.
The primary reason is the student operating an ATV or snowmobile during a course of operation cannot be controlled or reached if immediate corrective action is needed. We strongly encourage student participation through static (non-operation) exercises showing hand signals, riding positions and pre-start inspections.
