Ashland County Fishing report
At this time Smelt Season has not yet started in the Chequamegon Bay as there is still very thick ice on the Bay. Usually smelting does starts in April…depending on Mother Nature. We will keep you posted and let you know when smelting begins. Be patient...don't give up!!!
Carolyn from Anglers all reports: There is still ice on the Bay. However, it can deteriorate quickly with the warm temps in the forecast.
Scott Bretting from River Rock reports: Right now; fishing in front of the Sioux River, Onion River and Bodins is not recommended. Everything is snow covered and the ice is broke-up. Use caution at all times!
