Aquaculture Rule Ready for Comment; Public Hearing Scheduled

A new aquaculture rule that contains policies on the role of genetics in the department’s fish stocking strategies and the department’s procedures for accepting donations of fish or fish eggs for stocking into public waters is ready for comment.

A public hearing for the aquaculture rule will be held:

March 18 at 5 p.m. at the Fitchburg DNR Service Center, 3911 Fish Hatchery Rd, Fitchburg, WI 53711

We would appreciate your input.

Reminder:  Spring Hearings provide broad public input opportunities

The Spring Hearings on April 8 offer opportunities to provide input on a variety of natural resources rule proposals, advisory questions and citizen resolutions that relate to regulations and management of Wisconsin’s outstanding fisheries.  It’s easy to provide input in person in one of Wisconsin’s 72 counties, online through an input form (a new option this year) or by email.  Find more information on the Spring Hearings web page.
