Antlerless harvest quota and permit level recommendations will be finalized at April County Deer Advisory Council meetings
MADISON - County Deer Advisory Councils are set to prepare final antlerless
quota and permit recommendations during the last round of spring meetings
from April 20-23, and a public comment period open through April 15 will
provide an opportunity to submit
feedback<http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/hunt/cdacsurvey.html>.
April CDAC meetings will provide an additional opportunity to provide
feedback as councils finalize their recommendations. A meeting schedule and
other information can be found at dnr.wi.gov<http://dnr.wi.gov/>, keyword
"CDAC<http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/hunt/cdac.html>."
In addition to attending council meetings, the public can submit comments
directly to their county's CDAC chair or via email to
DNRCDACWebMail@wisconsin.gov before the review period ends April 27.
Each council will consider online public input form responses and other
public comments, along with assessments from Wisconsin Department of Natural
Resources biologists, foresters and law enforcement staff as they develop
final recommendations.
Following the April meetings, final antlerless quota recommendations will be
presented to the department before they are sent to the Natural Resources
Board for approval in May. Approved recommendations will be implemented
during the 2015 deer hunting seasons.
