Amended Release: Jerry Smith Farm Presents Dog Days of Summer June 22
Jerry Smith Farm has gone to the dogs! On Saturday, June 22, the farm presents a new event. Dog Days of Summer is a paw-some gathering that promises fun for both pets and their humans alike. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the farm: 7150 18th Street. Admission is free. Dog Days of Summer kicks off three seasons of events in 2024.
At this event, dogs and the joy they bring to our lives will be celebrated. Dogs are welcome at the event as leashed dogs are now allowed at the farm during the summer.
There will be microchipping and adoption opportunities. There will be a pet vendor fair; each vendor will have free samples as well as a free raffle basket. There will be representatives from Fromm, American Natural Premium, Burlo, Dr. Gary's Best Breed, Hagen Catit, Pooptopia, Wisconsin Humane Society – Kenosha Campus, E3 K9, Petipet Foods, Kanine Kuts Inc., Billy's Posse, Frankly Pet, Ark Naturals, Earthbath, and more businesses.
There will also be a vendor fair for humans with vendors and crafters. Blue House Books will be present with the Blue House Bookmobile. Food and beverages will be available to purchase; Smitty’s Beverage Garden will be open. There will be food available for pets at Pawlie’s Pet food truck.
A similar, yet smaller event was held in past years at Feed & Seed (7115 38th Street), which is owned by Jerry Smith Farm. It has now outgrown that space. Feed & Seed is a one-stop-shop for all pet, wildlife, and lawn needs.
The farm is located at the corner of Hwy EA & Hwy L. The farm’s country store opens on June 17. Call (262) 859-2645 or go to jerrysmithfarm.com for more details.
