Alice in Dairyland Finale tickets available

MADISON – Members of the public are invited to be in attendance for the selection of the next Alice in Dairyland – and meet the candidates and the next “Alice” in person – during Alice in Dairyland Finale events May 6-7 in Dodge County.

Tickets are on sale for several events which will culminate in the selection of the 69th Alice in Dairyland, Wisconsin’s official agricultural ambassador.

Friday, May 6: Social Hour, Dinner, and Discussion Panel Your ticket gets you the chance to interact with the Alice in Dairyland candidates during a social hour, enjoy dinner and observe as they showcase their knowledge of Wisconsin agriculture during a discussion panel. The event begins at 6 p.m. at The Barn at Windy Pine in Waterloo. Tickets are $15.

Saturday, May 7: Social Hour, Banquet, Finale/Selection

The 69th Alice in Dairyland is selected this evening. Join the candidates for a social hour and banquet at Turner Hall in Watertown beginning at 4:30 pm. Following the meal, proceedings move to Watertown High School at 7 p.m., where the six candidates give their final speeches prior to the selection of the next Alice in Dairyland. Tickets for the banquet are $25 and also include the finale program. Tickets for just the program are also available for $5.

The evening will also include comments by Teyanna Loether, the outgoing 68th Alice in Dairyland, and numerous former “Alices” also are expected to be in attendance.

Learn more and order tickets at aliceindairyland.com/tickets.

This year’s Alice candidates are: Jenna Braun, Mayville; Victoria Horstman, Sparta; Kristin Klossner, New Glarus; Ann O’Leary, Evansville; Emily Selner, Denmark; and Joanna Wavrunek, Denmark.

Alice in Dairyland is Wisconsin’s official agricultural ambassador. She travels the state to teach rural and urban audiences of all ages about Wisconsin’s $88.3 billion agriculture industry. She gives media interviews, speaks to groups at community events, visits schools and uses social media to help consumers understand the diversity and economic impact of Wisconsin agriculture and the nutritional benefits of its agricultural products.

The candidates will be participating in agribusiness tours and media interviews around Dodge County, May 5-7. Follow the events on Twitter and Facebook at #69thAlice.
