2019 Lake Winnebago Bottom Tawl Assessment Report
Hello Winnebago System Fisheries Enthusiasts,
The annual bottom trawl assessment conducted on Lake Winnebago is one of the most important fisheries assessments for management of the fisheries community within the Winnebago System. The trawl assessment provides year class strength data for various game and forage fish species within the system, while also providing insight into trends within the adult population. DNR fisheries staff are often asked about the trawl assessment and how year classes are shaping up for the future of the fishery. The report from the 2019 bottom trawl assessment is available through the following link:

I hope you enjoy the report and good luck fishing this season!
