2015 invasive species awareness video contest now open
MADISON-The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources invites all who enjoy the outdoors to send in their videos for the 2015 invasive species awareness video contest. Show us how you protect the places you play from invasive species by submitting your videos before May 30 to the DNR Facebook page<https://www.facebook.com/WIDNR/app_403834839671843>.
The video contest is in partnership with the Wisconsin Invasive Species Council and is part of the upcoming June Invasive Species Awareness Month. It aims to increase awareness of species that invade our favorite places to play and teach people how to prevent the spread of invasive species in these habitats.
The three video submissions with the most "likes" will be featured at the 11th Annual Invader Crusader Awards Ceremony held June 4 at 1:00 p.m. at Olbrich Gardens in Madison. These winners, and anyone else interested are invited to attend.
