16th Annual Riverside Family Fun Fair, May 20, 2017

The La Crosse County Convention and Visitors Bureau invites visitors and residents in La Crosse County and surrounding area to take part in an afternoon filled with family-fun activities at the 16th annual Riverside Family Fun Fair. The event takes place at Veterans Freedom Park on Saturday, May 20th in La Crosse.

Riverside Family Fun Fair offers families a day of fun without the expense. Families will interact with area tourism and community vendors exhibiting the many great activities and services our area has. Police cars, fire trucks, kayaks, archery with Kicking Bear, goats, racecars, inflatables by the Space Walk of Western Wisconsin, face painting, and pottery from All Glazed Up! are just a fraction of what will be exhibited by the vendors. Don’t forget the popcorn, hotdogs, giant pickles, root beer floats, soda, and water for just $0.50 each.

The addition of the FLW partnership offers attendees to witness professional fishing right here in our own backyard. The FLW Pro Tour (Thursday, May 18 - Sunday, May 21) features the nation's top anglers in a national televised competition broadcast to 80 million homes via NBC Sports Network. Big crowds attend the daily weigh in as the tour's four day format builds suspense and excitement. While fans and visitors eagerly await the daily weigh in, the FLW family of sponsors hosts a family-friendly expo with free samples, prizes, games, activities, and attractions for families and children of all ages.

On Saturday, May 20th, the FLW will also host a Unified Fishing Derby from 9am - 11am prior to Riverside Family Fun Fair and the Expo. This event is for anyone under age 18 and Special Olympics athletes of all ages. Goodie bags, awards, and prizes will be handed out for those with biggest fish.

All who attend will learn exactly what the La Crosse area has to offer. This fun-filled afternoon is the perfect activity for everyone, giving visitors a taste of La Crosse at it’s most festive, and providing residents great ideas for summer fun, and the chance to be tourists in their own backyard.
