Turkeys, Hips and Grading the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Packer Grader
Three weeks ago today I was on the cutting table for the hip replacement. This week I have discarded the cane except for outdoor use, one week after discarding the walker. Pain is minimal and I stopped using all drugs including Vicodin and Oxycontin two nights ago. Perhaps we will transition to the cabin whiskey…and then try to do those stair exercises.
Not really. And don’t try that at home. Unless you’re alone or with someone.
I do have a nasty cold so they placed me on an antibiotic as a precaution. Infection is cause for alarm in early joint replacement patients.
Received my spring turkey permit for Zone 1 and expect to hunt the southwest hill country with no pain. That’s enough today. We did kick off the first annual grading of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel football writer Bob McGinn’s grading of the Green Bay Packers.
