2013 Wolf Hunt Off to Extraordinary Start
It’s a biting cold Wednesday and I pound keys in a dark office before the sun with a northern Wisconsin bowhunt on my mind. I will join my brothers in the North Country and spend two days in a tree or maybe in a duck blind if the wind blows too hard and the northern ducks get goosed south. Mainly, call this trip a tune-up for the fast looming rut. Take your hat off when you say that.
There are some things you should know about that we posted on this website too in recent days. First, the wolf hunt is insanely successful, with trappers doing most of the heavy lifting. Almost 100 wolves have been harvested by this October 23 morning, and Zone 2 is already being shut down. Look for details on the website under “Deer Hunting”, “Trapping”, “Bear Hunting” or “Outdoor News”.

Of all the material we post under “Outdoor News” and “Firearms”, I find the information posted by the “Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership” among the most interesting and probably the most useful to preserving freedom. It’s amazing what the truth will do. You think the history of persecution of the Jews has anything to do with these generations today having no intentions of giving up their guns? When you reach firearms, scroll back a few days.
