Mississippi River Zone open for goose hunting through Jan.7 - check online regulations for more information
MADISON - Migratory bird hunters are reminded that January Canada goose
hunting dates in the Mississippi River Zone have changed - the 2015-16
Canada goose hunting season will be open through Jan. 7 in this zone.
While online regulations<http://dnr.wi.gov/files/PDF/pubs/wm/WM0010.pdf>
show current season structure, paper regulations will not be updated to
reflect this change. Advertising space was reserved in local newspapers with
updated information, and local wildlife and law enforcement staff will help
make sure hunters are aware of the Jan. 7 closing date.
