Thank you again for another hunting year to remember!!
The 2012 Spring Turkey Youth and Learn To Hunt at Tom's Guns consisted of 63 super hunters, 65 awesome mentors and many wonderful landowners.
We are proud to announce 30 birds were reported harvested in this years weekend hunt.
Tom and I are again very lucky to be able to share another weekend of great memories with hunters who have come out to experience what the outdoors has to offer. This is the time that a learn to hunt participant, no matter the age, experiences the hunt through a seasoned mentor and more times then I can count---- A hunter is born!
We are very proud that over the years many of our 10 year old learn to hunt hunters have returned for the next 5 years to hunt as youth hunters.
Tom and I work very hard to keep a terrific relationship with our donors, land owners and mentors—Without these pieces of the puzzle you would NOT have that complete picture of your special hunt.
Please remember to write a thank-you to the land owners, your mentors, and our donors. We could not have this weekend hunt without these people....Your mentors have taken precious time out of their lives to spend with you during the hunt.
Thank you to the Marshall Lion's Club for the lunch.. This program has grown so much and I can not serve it alone anymore.. I appreciate the help so much. All of the hunters and mentors are so excited to have a good meal when they come out of the hunt. Sitting on the lawn as a big group having lunch and reminiscing is such an important part of the day.. I love seeing the Lion's Club members smile and laugh as they watch the kids dragging their birds across the lawn, when the bird is as big as the hunter.
