Jeff Spott Turkey Hunting Town of Lisbon
Jeff Spott from the town of Lisbon began his afternoon vigil waiting for a gobbler on April 26 in Waukesha County after placing a hen decoy about 25 yards in front of his stand on a fence line. 30 minutes later a hen appeared over the ridge, followed not far behind by Thomas.
“They crossed in front of me about 45 yards out, headed away from me and milled around for about 45 minutes strutting and eating,” Spott said. “They finally turned and started heading in my direction. When the Tom got within 30 yards it was all over. It was a great hunt. The turkey weighed 21 pounds.”
