New early teal, goose and mourning dove seasons regulation booklet available
MADISON – The Department of Natural Resources released a revised three-in-one regulations booklet for the 2015 early Canada goose season, early teal and mourning dove seasons which all begin Sept. 1. The department set out to revise the regulations for the three concurrent early bird seasons in a more accessible way after receiving feedback from hunters. - Read Full Article
Learn archery at upcoming MacKenzie Center event
POYNETTE, Wis. – People can spend an afternoon learning a new outdoor skill from certified instructors when the MacKenzie Centers conducts an upcoming free archery clinic. Participants will learn the basics of archery and get some target practice. DNR announces EIS decision for proposed Bayfield County Badgerwood swine operation
ASHLAND, Wis. – The Department of Natural Resources has decided to use an Environmental Impact Statement process for the proposed Badgerwood swine operation in the town of Eileen, Bayfield County. The department decided the EIS process would be the best way to comply with the Wisconsin Environmental Policy Act requirements for environmental analysis in advance of any permit decisions for the project. - Read Full Article
