Tom's Guns 2013 Spring Turkey Youth Hunt is April 6th & 7th
The annual Spring Turkey Youth Hunt weekend is designed to give our hunters the opportunity to hunt wild turkey and gain valuable experience at a time when other hunters are not authorized to hunt.
Youth Hunt: 10-15
Youth hunters need to be 10-15 years of age, possess a valid spring turkey license, stamp, and ZONE 2 permit. All youth hunters must have successfully completed a Hunter Education Course. All youth hunters will be accompanied by a mentor age 18 or older. (Youth who do not successfully harvest a turkey during the youth hunt may use their unfilled permit during the time period and in the zone for which their permit was issued.)
Learn to Hunt: 10-Adults
Learn to hunt hunters are who have not completed a Hunter Education Course and have NEVER hunted turkeys. All LTH hunters will be paired up one-on-one and within arm’s reach of their mentor. The Learn to Hunt Program, is an educational opportunity designed to help inexperienced hunters, both youth and adults. We strive to have each hunter and mentor have a safe and rewarding first-time hunting experience under the guidance of our qualified hunting mentors. Learn to hunt hunters will receive both classroom and field instruction prior to the actual hunt. I will have a tag for the LTH hunters.

All hunters/mentors will meet each morning at Tom's Guns (unless Julie has been notified). I check off my mentors and hunters, I don't want anyone left behind.

B — April 17-23
C — April 24-30
D — May 1-7
E — May 8-14
F — May 15-21
Remember, each time period now runs for 7 days instead of 5 days.

Zones 5, 6 & 7 – Friday, March 22
On Saturday March 23 all remaining turkey tags will be on sale.
(Extra turkey tags can be purchased one per day until the zone or time period sells out)
The fee for leftover turkey permits is $10
